Canada and New England Cruises

Lava Flows on the Big Island
New England Fall Colors

The Atlantic coastline offers such diversity--from the cosmopolitan hubbub of New York City to the serene beauty of St. John and Nova Scotia Canada. You'll truly cruise from one world to another every day!

With itineraries mainly between May and October, you also have the chance to see peak fall foliage in the hills and mountains of New England. You might choose a trip that sails roundtrip from New York, or one that begins or ends in Montreal, Canada--both perfect places to spend an extra day or two.

Highlights of your cruise might include:

  • Boston: Start with a Duck Tour in a converted military amphibious vehicle; after seeing the sights on land, drive right into the Charles River to continue your tour! Follow the course of the Revolution on the Freedom Trail. Enjoy the outstanding Museum of Science with its indoor lightning storms (yes, really!) and the Aquarium's hands-on exhibits.
  • Halifax, Nova Scotia: Since it was closest to the wreck, graves from many Titanic passengers can be found here. See the most popular historic site in Canada, the star-shaped Citadel on its hilltop perch. Visit the picture-perfect Peggy's Cove lighthouse.
  • Montreal, Quebec: You'll have the feel of visiting France as you meander around Montreal, where French is an official language. Survey the city from Mont Royal Park. The Olympic Park complex features an outstanding botanical garden and unusual Insectarium. Explore the underground city, a vast labyrinth of underground shopping and entertainment meant to keep winter shoppers warm and happy.
  • Bar Harbor Maine: You want quaint? You got quaint. Practice the correct Maine pronunciation before you arrive: "Baaa (like a sheep) Haaabaa." Don't miss Acadia National Park while you're here, and "downtown" Bar Harbor itself. You can even ride along a lobstering boat to see how it's done!
  • Newport, Rhode Island: The once-and-present playground for the rich and famous, Newport is best known for its yacht races and its mansions. On foot or via trolley tour, you can promenade down unbelievable mansion row, and tour those mansions that are open to the public, or ogle those that are still private residences. Don't miss the spectacular cliff walk along the ocean behind the mansions.
